Teacher Appreciation 2012

Teacher Appreciation week snuck up on me this year!  I had every intention of using my ‘week off’ last week to transfer all of my appreciation ideas from my brain into reality, but there was simply too much going on in our lives and it didn’t happen.

Luckily, I’ve only got RedDog at the elementary school which means for the first time ever I only have ONE teacher to appreciate. Not that I don’t appreciate the Middle School teachers, but there are sixteen of them and apparently it is uncool for teenagers to actually  show appreciation to their teachers. Whatever.

I snuck over to Target yesterday and found a few things that would fit our budget and guidelines the school has set this year.  Today’s theme: a small treat.

Always a sucker for a good pun, I picked up a tin of Altoids {who can resist that classic packaging?} and whipped up a little label to wrap around it telling the teacher she was “MINT” to be.

It took me ten minutes and cost me $1.29.  Now that is a gift I can appreciate.

Need more Teacher Appreciation ideas?  I’ve got a few here, here, here, here, here, and here.

PS. Do you like Altoids?  They are too strong for me!

PPS. I was disappointed to get on Pinterest last night and find a few variations of this gift.  I didn’t consult Pinterest beforehand and thought I’d created something original. Boo!

I'm beginning to think there are no original ideas.

I think the teacher will appreciate this gift appreciating her.

You get an A+ from me for this idea and the quick execution of it.
