Before I get all Debbie Downer on you, let’s talk about this picture for a second. I’d like to introduce you to Pirate Owlie. There are a few features worth noting.
First, he allowed Hannie B.to spike up his hair so he’d look like Jake from the Neverland Pirates. Second, he was “so sweaty” so he’s stripped down to his undershirt. Third, I’m not much for posed pictures, but this one might just be the forever exception. I die.
Now, onto a discussion about Fridays. They aren’t doing it for me anymore. It used to be a great day that included happy kids coming home from school with whoops and shouts about the weeknd and me and the Hubby getting out of here for a date!
No more.
Now it’s kids with homework {thanks Middle & High School}, kids with sports practice, kids with play practice and no dates. It’s the short, disappointing precursor to an even busier Saturday.
Boo.
Tell me your plans for Friday. I need to live vicariously through your awesomeness.
I need to find my Friday mojo again. Any suggestions?
PS. Prayers for the two Christophers in my life. My boy has a possible concussion and my brother had a really bad bike wreck yesterday.

Beware Pi Day! Beware the Ides of March!
Beware of cycling on icy West VA mountain roads!
Beware of walking into opening doors!
Be well, my son and grandson!
I'm stuck on the P.S. zinger at the end!
Oh my goodness, on the same day?!?! Poor guys! Hope everyone gets back to normal soon!
Lunch and shopping with the girls...Tomorrow I am getting together with 5 of my best friends and we are going shopping for running shoes. We are all running The Sawtooth Relay in June, it is completely miserable and completely a blast all at the same time. Please don't think that I am some great awesome runner because I am quite the opposite, I guess in signing up for the race it makes me try to be.
Never mind the fact that any decent shopping is 2 hrs away, that just makes for lots of gab time in the car!
Well, today I'm spending part of my day with that adorable pirate Owlet. No plank walking for either of us, I hope.
Uncle Chris got the worst of it yesterday, Big C seems to have gotten a really good nights sleep.
That last comment is from me not Kernal Ken...bet you knew that already.
Ack! Yet another reason I'm not ready for these kids to grow up! I'll be mustering all my courage to attend an Oster Cafe at Morgan's German kindergarten and mingle with strangers in a foreign tongue with all my kids and probably no husband. Four years here has taught me to anticipate many mini-disasters and meltdowns prior to getting out the door and while there and yet I'm always caught off guard :) Maybe I'll get lucky and Jake will projectile vomit all over me again today like yesterday so we can't go!
Oh! I hope both Big C. and your brother are feeling better by now.
My Fridays aren't what they used to be. My last day of class was Thursdays. But since I am preparing for MIR exam (residency program exam) I have class every Friday afternoon until late at night, 9 p.m or 9:3 p.m. And this when I'm lucky, because some weekends we also have class all Saturday... I don't like it, but this is what I have to do. And I know it's for a limited period of time and that next February I'll be free! :)
P.S: I love Owlie's pirate hair!
