This Never Happens …

IMG_0869

He gave up napping when we sent his pacifiers off into the sky almost a year ago. So when he fell asleep in the car last week, I knew he’d wake up when I brought him into the house.

He did wake up, but instead of wanting to play, he asked me to take off his shoes and make him a bed on the couch. I sat and worked on church stuff while I listened to his heavy breathing for an hour. Then he woke up and asked me to snuggle him.

It was dreamy.

Wanna know what else never happens? Me getting so sick that I had to go to bed at 6:00 last night and didn’t wake up until 8:30 this morning. So fun for Spring Break. My kids are not happy.  My throat is not happy either.

Not dreamy.

Here’s something else that never happens: snow on March 24th. My love of snow does not extend into late March. It just doesn’t.

And another never happens kind of thing . . . a friend showed up on my porch with a homemade lemon meringue pie yesterday, during said snow storm. I haven’t eaten any of it yet, since I was incapacitated last night, but I do believe I will be having some for breakfast right now.

I do believe that qualifies as ULTRA dreamy. Thanks Tracey!

I guess you got what Hannie B had. Hope you're on the mend.

Well at least the sun is out today, the snow...what snow...nothing out there this morning. I think that snow thing was really just a dream.

Good - spring break
Better - snuggly, sleepy boy
Best - lemon meringugue pie
(which always reminds me of Amelia Bedelia!)

This is such a sweet picture of Oliver, I had to check it out one more time before going to bed. Oh to sleep like a child.

I wish I could bottle the feeling I get watching my little boy sleep, especially a surprise nap during the day.

Ups, I'm sorry that you didn't feel well... But I guess having that delicious breakfast the next day helped just a little bit.

Snuggle time! :)
