I came home from a late night meeting last night and found this:
It is a beautiful thing when a twelve year old girl loves her baby brother so much that she will curl up next to him {sparkly eye mask and all} to help him fall asleep. This sign of devotion makes my heart swell. Hannie B. is turning into quite the babysitter. She is also an excellent older sis.
There are other things I love about this moment: the fact that she has taken all of his blankets for herself, the way he is snuggling his lambie, those chubby legs poking out from the new jammie situation, the fact that they are both diagonal on the bed, the tangle of animals who are a mirrored reflection of the humans nearby. It is all too wonderful and I had to capture it with my camera.
Happy Weekend to you. We will be busy with baseball, play practice and YARD WORK!
