I haven’t mentioned yet that my Hubby’s parents have recently left the contiguous United States for an 18 month mission in Hawaii for our church.
Even though we didn’t live near them {us in VA, they in UT}, having them an entire ocean away makes them seem worlds away. We miss them!
Last week we put a little package together during our Family Home Evening to send to them for Valentine’s Day so they would feel loved.
I don’t know about you, but for me there is something so happy about opening up a box with lots of little goodies inside. Nothing in our package cost more than a few dollars. Some things were even handmade from supplies we had at home. But it really was filled with love.
We included our grandpa’s favorite cherry cordials {does anybody like those?}, some delicious dark chocolates for our grandma, a yummy candle for a romantic dinner, a little packet of breath mints and gum for good smooches, a book page heart garland to decorate the apartment and an “Instant Family Home Evening” with scriptures about love.
Each of the children made a handmade Valentine for their grandparents. All of the labels I made used graphics from the Graphics Fairy.
Sending love in a box to loved ones . . . so fun for our family.
PS. Thanks so much for the birthday wishes! I totally got what I wanted: no fighting from my kids and dinner out so I didn’t have to cook. Then the Hubby reminded me that I actually have 366 days until I turn 40 because it’s a Leap Year. SWEET.

darling, darling package! How wonderful that your in-laws are on a mission.
A testimony to how adorable your packages are: one just has to stare at the beautifully wrapped and color co-ordinated items for a good long while before unwrapping anything.
They will love it!
What a thoughtful gift. I love it!
Looks like I need to go on a mission so that I can get a lovely loved filled package like this.
