Last night was a contrast to the previous one. We’re calling it “From Wicked to Righteous”.
The Hubby and I joined friends for a night under the stars with a delicious picnic and the completely uplifting sounds of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
It has to be said – I’d love ‘em even if I wasn’t a Mormon myself. There is something quite electrifying about so many beautiful voices joined in unison singing music that praises God and uplifts one’s soul.
And there was some funk in there too! Alex Boye had a few solos during the Negro Spiritual tributes. And the man did the robot. In front of the Tabernacle Choir. It was awesome.
I laid back on my quilt, holding my Hubby’s hand, listening to one of their signature pieces, “Come, Come, Ye Saints” and watching fireflies flit to and fro above my head, feeling like a very blessed woman. It was definitely a moment for me.
This Summer is already rockin’ my world people. And it’s only going to get better.
