Easy Luncheon Place Cards . . .

I love Scrabble tiles.  I search them out at thrift stores and garage sales.  There’s something about them that appeals to the word geek in me.  We keep a large bowl of them in our house at the ready, so earlier this week when I co-hosted a little luncheon at my house, I thought I’d put them to good use.

I spelled out each guest’s name above their plate.  I’m sure I didn’t invent this idea, but since I haven’t yet come across it in blogland {which means absolutely NOTHING}, I’m feeling pretty cheeky about my cleverness.

My friend Michelle acted as co-host and her contribution to our luncheon has left me swooning for days.

Lemon pudding cakes in beautiful green ramekins.  Uh – YUM.  I've acquired the recipe and am ready to attempt after I visit my local WilliamsSonoma for some ramekins of my own. If I have success, I’ll share the recipe!

This is a brilliant idea! I only have one scrabble game but with plastic tiles...

Your previous posts about Scrabble tiles sent me off to find some of my own. I am happy to report that we now have 2 sets. My 7 and 9 yr olds especially, love to spell out messages for us. Now you've got me thinking I want to host a luncheon!

Yes, Scrabble tiles are awesome! Your table looks so nice and spring-y. Hope the recipe turns out, 'cause I'd love to try it.

You can't be related to those Nelson Sisters without owning multiple sets of scrabble tiles. I have my very own bowl full at home too. =)

Um, sorry, Williams-Sonoma, you know I love you forever and ever and my 10 years with you were some of the happiest of my life, but... DON'T GO THERE for ramekins!! Too expensive! At least the Apilco ones are. I'd go to Cost Plus World Market, if you have one... unless of course WS is the only place with the green ones, and then I have to take back my previous rant.

love.
