We will open the book.
Its pages are blank.
We are going to put words on them ourselves.
The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day.

What will you write in your book this year? I’m busy contemplating what I’d like to accomplish this year as a mom, a wife, a daughter, a friend, a writer. Lots to improve. Lots to change. Some things to remain the same. Isn’t it great that we are beings capable of change?
Happy New Year friends.

I love that you are contemplating your goals as a writer. Can't wait to hear about the pages ahead in your book.
Cora told me that her goals for this year are to take Ballet lessons. Subtle isn't she?
Alec told me his goal was to further enhance his Lego building skills. Well what he actually said was, I just want to play with my Lego's.
My goal is to have a happier and brighter 2011.
It is great that we are beings capable of change. But better if that change means improving, isn't it?
