An All Hallow's Eve Wish For You:
May the wind rap softly upon your window. May the leaves crunch under your feet. May there be a slight nip in the air - just enough to make you want some cider, but not enough to make you want a parka. May the dark blanket of night settle in early, and the little patter of children's feet meet your doorstep hundreds of times. May you have a bowl of chili and some sweet corn bread (my family tradition). May you see at least three costumes that blow your mind. May your night be watched over by bats, witches, owls and include complete safety. And may you steal all your favorite candy from the bags of your children which, if this wish comes true, will be very, very full.
Ps. Working on getting permission to share cookie recipe . . .

Bah ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!
"You could get back home safe and sound quickly if you take the shortcut but that means you have to cross the cemetery and go past "The House". You know the one - everyone calls it the Haunted House, long abandoned but the stories about what went on inside that house are still alive. Especially on nights like this - on Halloween."
May you all survive the night as you bring home the booty.
Trying to keep it light hearted here . . . uh, thanks Queen.
I'm always light hearted on Halloween, Hope I didn't scare you too badly.
Growing up my Mom would enact a candy tax on us. She said she escorted us all over the neighborhood therefor she deserved a share in the booty. Mainly she stole all of our tootsie rolls.
I'm happily carrying on that fine tradition. Except I tax most of the star bursts!
I like the picture.
