Reunion Recap #2: Pool Time

IMG_6658

When you’ve got a reunion with thirty-five people and twenty of them are children you have to have a diversion on hand at pretty much all times.  The house we stayed in had several, including a ping pong table, an air hockey table, a foosball table and a large screen TV with Wii hooked up to it.

But by far the best diversion of the entire reunion were the two {you read that right – two} swimming pools – one indoors and heated for the sissies and one outdoors, which comically was also heated, but by the hot St. George air.

Never mind the temperature, the kids swam for at least five hours every day.  It was great to be outside with kids of all ages – infants in floatie tubes splashing and gigglingIMG_6869, toddlers in water wings navigating their way around the swimmersIMG_6663, or big kids playing games and doing crazy jumps off the sides.

Just like the beach, the pool has something to offer everyone and saved our hides numerous times during the reunion – just ask the smallest person in attendance!

We thank God for water all the time. It's a life saver and giver.

Where did you guys stay? The older I get and the more kids I have, I've decided it's totally worth the extra expense to stay in a big house with plenty of room and entertainment. Camping for a reunion may be cheaper, but the adults don't really get a chance to visit much because we're all too busy making sure our kids don't run off or dive in the campfire.

Can't wait to see more of your trip!
