Do You Have One Of These?

readingreddog

This is my reading RedDog.

He reminds me of me at ten years old. Body squeezed into any available chair, book open, mind transported to a different world.

RedDog loves to read. He loves it so much that his school teacher actually told me, “He is a wonderful boy in every aspect. If there is ONE thing he needs to work on, and I can’t believe I am saying this, it is that he reads TOO MUCH. He rushes through his work so he can open his book. He reads when we’re supposed to be having discussions. He’d like to take his book out to recess with him.”

A kid that reads too much! Can’t complain about that.

He will be getting a lot of books for Christmas. We have a Kindle. We have an iPad. He will be getting good old fashion paper books. He loves turning the pages. He loves having the books on his shelf to look at and reread.

Big C is a reader too. I was a reader. I am a reader. The Hubby is not a reader. Hannie B is not a reader.

I’m really happy that RedDog is a reader. Do you have one of these?

RedDog looks so relaxed, comfy and warm.
In my family we are not readers, maybe I the one that reads the most but it's hard for me to find the time with all the studying... but whenever I'm reading a book, I enjoy it so so much! Then I wonder why it seems that I never have the time...

Today I'm studying at home and in order to keep my feet warm, I'm wearing some fuzzy socks I got a couple of years ago from a good friend in Leesburg! :)

I am a reader and a reader-out-louder! Just finished reading aloud "The Witches" by Roald Dahl to the winkies.

That is awesome! Lucky lucky, I so desperately want my kids to love to read but it's like pulling teeth. :( I ALWAYS have a book I'm reading, I love it! I guess there's still a chance for the younger 2 (5 & 3) :)

Yes, I do have one or two or three....the hubby, the daughters, myself and even sometimes by sons. Oh and my daughter-in-laws and a whole bunch of my grands.

Great photo of RedDog, I love how red his hair looks and of course I love to see him reading.

Something he will enjoy his whole life! I'm glad you have a reader. I just read The Shoemakers Wife this weekend and what a great book it was!

I am a reader! I just read "The Slow Ripening Fruits of Motherhood" by Emily Watts, you would love it! My hubby is not a reader, he does enjoy listening to books though and he likes interactive ones on the ipad, Elder Bednar has a great one. Oldest son, not a reader, like pulling teeth to get him to read. Oldest daughter is a reader, she won't let me put that in the Christmas letter anymore though :) The other two will read if they have a great book and lots of encouragement from me!
