Well, they’re off! We actually got up at 5:50 this morning to send Big C to seminary. I made biscuits and cut up fresh peaches for everyone. I even helped Hannie B. have perfect hair (super important in Eighth Grade).
Here are my people on the First Day of School 2013.
This kid is growing. FAST. I am just happy he still lets me take his picture. He’s got a busy year ahead and I know he’s going to rock it. I can’t believe he’s a Sophomore. Please take note: He’s finally taller than the star on the door. I predict this is the year he will become as tall as or taller than his dad.
The little lady of our house is growing up. She’s obsessed with perfect eyelashes. She planned this outfit for days. She only has braces for a few more months. She is one of my best friends and she makes laugh real hard. Please take note: fingernails are painted and lunch box totally matches outfit. You go girl.
The RedDog is at the top of the school this year! Big bad Fifth Grader. He has a boy teacher for the first time ever. And right now he is really, really missing his best friend Chris Meck. So much that he wore his Chris Meck t-shirt on the first day instead of the shirt I bought him. I predict this boy is going to have a growth spurt this year. He’s changing and I like him even more every day. Please note: he looks so charming in his glasses. Freckles are my fave.
Now I’m home alone with just Owlie. He’s mad at me because I took a bite of his biscuit without asking and won’t let him watch TV. Today could be interesting.
