Busy Bee …

justbyourself

It’s Friday. Wasn’t it just Monday?

How did I miss three days in between?

Maybe it was my dentist appointment. Or it could possibly be the realization that Big C needs another root canal and consequent phone calls to insurance. It could have been feeding friends and my dad one night this week. Or learning that RedDog’s thirty-something year old teacher has cancer. Maybe it was the two pieces of furniture I randomly decided to paint.

Nope.

I’m totally blaming it on eighteen t-shirts for eighteen girls.

I spent all day Wednesday and part of Tuesday working on shirts for girls. They are totally worth it though. My new job at church has me working with the 12-13 year old girls. They’re called Beehives, which is appropriate because whenever they get together, it’s very buzzy.

We’re heading off to go camping in a month and a half, so many of the weekly activities we’re having right now are to prepare for that. This week we made t-shirts for the girls to wear at camp – something to unify them as a group and help them stand out a little.

Hannie B helped me choose the message. We want these girls to know that we love who they are and they don’t have to change to fit in. They can just be who they are and that is more than enough.

The girls went crazy for the shirts. They all wore them to school today, they were so excited. And Hannie B didn’t mind modeling her shirt for me to share with you.

Not too shabby for $3.50 a pop. Now I can breathe again. And blog again.

You just amaze me. I don't know how you have the energy to accomplish all that you do. Those shirts are so perfectly cute!

You amaze me too.

Thank's for feeding Papa Ken, I know he enjoyed the good food and great company.

The shirt is very fun and the message is spot on. I love that Hannie BEE helped with the message.

I'm wondering what furniture you painted.

I'm really sorry to hear about Soren's teacher, is there a way to lend support?

Oh, I'm longing to see the painted furniture!

I love the Bee Yourself t-shirt. How could I not!? Makes me want to be a 12-13 year old!

Your life is very full, but I wish I could removed the dental stuff and anything anywhere having to do with cancer. I know your wonderful community will support Soren's teacher.

Are you going to Camp Snyder? If so when? We are there the 18th - 22nd.
