It finally happened! After chanting over and over “just one big snow storm before Spring, please”, we finally woke up this morning to a winter wonderland and NO SCHOOL!
Our pantry is stocked and ready for baking. Our marshmallows and cocoa are sitting on the counter, ready to greet rosy cheeks and noses cold from sledding and snowball making. The DVD player is fired up to run Harry Potter all day if necessary. And as an added bonus, The Hubby gets to work from home because it should continue snowing all day and could possibly leave us with a foot of the gorgeous white stuff.
Even though I’m averse to the cold part of it, there is something about clean white snow blanketing the earth that gives me a sense of renewal and hope. It’s a clean slate waiting to be written upon.
It’s going to be a great day at our house. I hope the same for you.
By next week, it will be 60 degrees here. Now that we’ve had our snow, I give Spring my full permission to come.

It would be great for me if Big C was going to do all my snow shoveling for me.
I'm happy for you and my grands, have at it.
Nice! I saw this recipe and thought of you...now that you have an inside day they might be worth a try...I know they are on my radar!

Oooh, Erin, those do look good! The only ingredient I'm missing is the dark chocolate. Bummer! I guess we'll have to stick with making chocolate chip today. Yum.
Amazing! It was 81 degrees yesterday, so I forget that in 'normal' parts of the world, it's still cold. ;) enjoy!
So glad you got your little taste of winter... and in the nick of time! Now, let's have some spring.
This sound like a perfect day!!! I'm happy that you got your snow, but even better that you got to spend some time together all the family!
Have a great weekend Lee family! :)
