I just got home from volunteering in the school library. I am mad that while there I spent mental time planning an escape route in case someone should barge in with a gun. I am sad that I looked to see where my RedDog was in the room and wondered how I would get to him and shield him should a dangerous situation present itself.
What happened on Friday in Connecticut – there are just no words to explain how I feel. Only tears.
This little porcelain figurine I have of child angels watching over the infant Savior has caught my eye multiple times since Friday and has brought me the slightest bit of comfort.
Those sweet children are with Him now. I know it. And those teachers and administrators who gave their lives to protect the innocence of children are my heroes and were angels on Earth.
May God bless the families in Newtown who are grieving. And may we all hug and love our little ones with all we’ve got since we still have them with us.

On Friday, I was in Prague, and when I went into facebook I started reading statuses from your mom and other friends who live in USA. It was strange what they were all saying... I thought something might have happened, so I went into a online newspaper and unfortunately I wasn't wrong. I read the horrible news.
I was overwhelmed with sadness...
