Scrambling …

Today is RedDog’s birthday! He is nine years old and such a wonderful, kind, sensitive boy. He has been like a river of peace since the moment he joined our family and for that I am very grateful since often times the other three can be an ocean of chaos!

We’ve planned an awesome pool party for RedDog and his friends this afternoon. But it is raining cats and dogs outside, so I am scrambling to come up with an alternative plan to make my boy feel special and loved. I’m thinking Madagascar 3 might be in the works.

I don’t love scrambling last minute! It’s going to be a busy day.

What do you do with your kids on a rainy Summer day?

Oh....let them watch a movie. Have a lego building competition. Make them clean out their closets and under the their beds. Have them write letters to sick cousins and grandparents who are far away in Hawaii. Have them help clean the whole house....that's my list.

Red Dog, you are peacefu... also sometimes very sneaky:-) Happy Birthday to my only red headed grandie.

he is so darn cute! Madagascar sounds great. Can also do bowling or Rebounderz (trampoline place in Leesburg)

Oooooh I didn't like it one bit when it rained on the day we were hosting my birthday party. And that happened quite often because it's in November...

The movie sound great! ;)

Happy Birthday RedDog!

Poor RedDog! Hope you came up with something fun! What's with all this rain anyway?
