Spend five minutes in an elementary school classroom and you probably think like I do: “How does the teacher remain so calm?” Don’t get me wrong. I love little children. But it is no easy task to herd 25 of them around all day and maintain composure.
So for the final day of Teacher Appreciation I knocked off the old “Keep Calm and Carry On Poster” for RedDog’s teacher. Instead of a crown, an apple. Instead of “carry on”, “teach on”. And the background in a cheery schoolroom red, of course.
I created the print on my computer, but had it professionally printed for a nicer finish. Then I slipped it into a $3.99 frame from Target for a total $5 gift. Of course I had to wrap it with a gigantic bow, because I’m obnoxious like that. But I did include a sincere note of thanks and admiration for the teacher.
I’ve left out one of the gifts I made this week, but I’ll have to cover it next week. The Food Drive culminates tomorrow so I’ve got ants in my pants. I’m nervous/excited! Will we meet our goal of 120,000 pounds of food? Will the hearts of our community members be open to giving to their fellow men? I sure hope so. Would you like to do me a favor today? Say a quick prayer for our Food Drive to be a huge success!
I’ll be posting something special on Mother’s Day if you’d like to join me. Happy Weekend to you all!

Super job Samantha! I love teachers too.
This is my favorite so far. Wow!
Your grand finale was just that, GRAND!
I think the teacher will be delighted and feel very much appreciated.
Is it just me or does anyone else find the word verification hard to decipher?
