Why A Family Reunion + Beach = Awesome!

This year my Carlson family spent a week together in a beach house for our family reunion courtesy of my generous parents. It was, in a word, AWESOME.  I am here today to unequivocally state that the beach is the PERFECT location for a family reunion because there’s something for everyone to do.  Let me demonstrate:

Some people catch crabs.  Some people eat crabs. Whatevs.

Some people ride waves.  Some people get chased by waves.

Some people dig big holes. Some people dig small holes.

Some people hang with their surfing buddies. Some people hang with their girlfriends. Some people hang with their guy friends.

Some people eat healthy food. Some people eat Swedish Fish. Some people eat sand.

Some people snooze in the shade.  Some people snooze in the sun.

Some people fly kites. Some people think they can fly themselves?IMG_0358

Some people model fabulous swimsuits. Some people model fabulous hats.

And so much more that I didn’t photograph because I was busy doing! But in the end, everybody has a fantastic time together and little people are ultimately HAPPY at the beach!

Tomorrow I’ll share a few things we did away from the beach.

Big smiles all around here. We loved the beach and all the people who made it there and made it possible.

It was a beachy keen week, so happy that everyone could get together.

And some people, thinking they were 17 instead of 67 got wiped out while trying to boogey board. But at least the water was warm enough to enjoy rather than tolerate.

I love all the pictures! They really show how much fun you were having!!!
And I love the last one with The Queen and Apis, with awesome hats and smiles!

Next weekend I'll be at the beach too in south Spain. I don't wanna go back but I am also looking forward for a little time at the beach. It's Summer after all!
