Summer Is Perfect For . . .

A little tubby in the kitchen sink after stomping around in mud puddles left from a magnificent summer storm.

You’d think this little fellow had struck gold when he found the big puddle in our back yard.  He stomped and jumped and his little mock Croc shoes squeaked with joy. I kept asking him if he was ready to go inside. He would reply, “Nope.”

I think the only thing that made him happier than the puddle was when I put his white naked body in the sink and started filling it with water.  He looked up at me and questioned, “Tubby?” Sure thing buddy!

I handed him a scrubby brush and he cleaned the sink while I cleaned him.  I sprayed him and he sprayed me.  It was a delightful late summer surprise for us both.

When I look at this picture of his small, soft back nestled in with little toes pressing against the porcelain, his skin almost the same color as the sink, his tiny toe head finally filling in with more hair, his pink ears just so, I want to cry I feel so happy.  This boy has brought us all so much joy.  He is a gift to my soul.

Pretty perfect for a summer day.

That cutie won't fit in that sink much longer, good thing you're taking advantage of it.

He is so so cute. I love the picture: Owlie, the sink, the pig and your family motto, the window and the flower... I love summer storms! But just the ones that doesn't last long!

That you evented this moment and then took delight in it is as sweet a gift as your little Owlie cherub.
