Recently Thrifted Finds . . .

IMG_9400

Plans for the second Teacher Appreciation printable are on hold until tomorrow.  I hope you’ll join me then.

For today, I thought I’d share a few of my recent thrift store finds.  These three beauties were all found on the same day at one of my regular stops called Twice Is Nice. I should emphasize that it is very rare for me to find so many goodies on any given run to one store.

The gold mirror is really old. How do I know? Because it weighs a ton, the frame is guilded wood that’s chipping in all the right places and the hanging wire on the back is ancient.  This mirror is now on The Queen’s mantle.

The massive clock {you can’t really tell by this photo, but it’s about two and a half feet across} is going in Big C’s room.  It’s an IKEA piece, but at $9 it was a fraction of what I would have paid at the actual store.

And the letter Y {for my college BYU, of course} was thrown in for free by the nice little cashier lady. Don’t be afraid to take something to the register that is without a price tag. You may be able to work a deal.

While many of my thrift runs turn up absolutely nothing, this was a good day.  Hope you’re having a good day too.  Printable tomorrow!

I plan on mirroring your thrifty ways once the yard and garage sales are in full force (soon!). In the mean time, I'm wondering Y I never find cool, huge clocks for under $10 in my neck of the woods.

I'm sure the mirror will come back to your home eventually, thanks for your generous sharing and thrifty good eye.

I really like that mirror. I am a thrifting amateur. I need to hone my skillz.
