This picture is a perfect demonstration of four facts:
1. My bald little blue-eyed Owlie is sitting up on his own.
2. RedDog and I have different definitions of what it means to make a bed.
3. We just don't breed superchubby babies. Instead we opt for ample thighs, but skinny middles {like me}.
4. Homebound due to snow = micromesses EVERYWHERE and generous photo cropping = house cleaning.
Can't you tell we are making progress here? As in it finally stopped snowing after 48 inches. And there is blue sky. And killer death-sized icicles dripping everywhere. And we are getting really professional at shoveling. And barely any food is left in the fridge. And every single activity we had for the weekend is now cancelled, including church, again.
Never mind that I haven't done a thing for my family's Valentine's Day. Or that if I have to say "Get Along!" one more time I might blow a gasket. Or that I am blogging at 3:00 in the afternoon because it's the first time I've been able to sit at the computer all day.
We are making progress.

He is such a sweetie!! Hang in there, the end is in sight! I do have to tell ya a story, the other day what should have took 20 minutes, took the kids 2 1/2 hours to clean up their toy room. Countless times of tattling on each other, yelling, hitting, equaling several time outs. At my wits end I finally went down there in a calm voice, but crying b/c my nerves were shot and well b/c I'm prego. I said," You guys are making me really sad, please do your job, so we can move onto the next activity." Stella's response was, " Well Mom, sometimes you make me sad too." Ahh, kids!!
Oh the joys of snow days!
Chubby thighed bald headed babies are my kind of baby. Look at that big boy sitting up all on his own. Owlie you get 10 hoots from me even though you don't probably give a HOOT what I think.
Hoot, hoot, hoot, hoot, hoot, hoot, hoot, hoot, hoot, HOOT!
Hang in there mommy this snow vacation will soon end.
If I were you, stuck in the hse w/all the kids for so long, I would go absolutely batty!! Hang in there!
Yay for little Ollie! My babies have that same body type, if they get any chubs at all....
Micro-messes are part of the macro-snow experience.
You're a good mom to turn a blind eye to the messes for now. When it starts to melt, order can resume.
Owlie, you're a great sitter. Keep it up!
You make me smile Owlie. You are perfectly cute in this photo.
I hope you survive the next few housebound days. I'm praying that you will all get some relief from cabin fever soon. =)
Ollie is so so cute! I wish I could squeeze those legs! Can you link me to the post where you showed Hannie B's painted desk? I want to show Maiya, but I can't seem to find the post and I'm dizzy from scrolling! Thanks! Janie
Yay for Owlie! He's a cute sitter.
He's just a cutie from head to toe, but look at those EYES! Love it.
J. Bells - here's the link to the desk:

He's a cute bubba! And, yes I produce whole milk when I nurse and you must have 1%! Is it wrong to wish that a storm could pound UT so I can get snowed in with my family. I know it's not all kisses and hot coco, but a little surprise "at home" forced vacation sounds ready good this busy month....Keep enjoying and when the "get alongs" become too much go soak in a hot tub!
Boobie Ollie! Have you tried making heart sugar cookies? That ought to shut up the fighting, for a brief hour anyway. Hang in there!
Still housebound? I'd be yelling "Get along!" til my voice gave out as well! And thank heaven for photo cropping. It's the easiest form of housekeeping that I know of. :)
