Ruffles and Bows . . .

These shoes (above) are what my friend Ronalin would call "Stripper Shoes". They're sky high, black satin, and have a little extra somethin' somethin' on the back to catch the attention of, well, customers. She makes me laugh! They also happen to be made by French designer Christian Louboutin, hence the cherry red soles, and cost a mere $1,085 at stores such as Barney's and Bergdorf Goodmans - stores I've never so much as set a foot in.

I'm more of a Target girl. A bargain finding girl. A cheap clothes, cheap shoes wearing girl. So imagine how tickled I was yesterday, while strolling the aisles of that blessed (pronounce it "bless-ed") red and white mecca, when I came across another pair of shoes with ruffles and bows that isn't stripper shoe worthy. This shoe, instead earns the "Cheap as dirt but looks like it could come from Anthropologie" award. Love the color - mustard yellow! Love the floral patterned insoles! Love the rounded toes! Love the ruffles and bows!

I know that not everyone can wear cheap shoes from Target. The Queen can't. But I can! And I will strut my stuff while wearing these funky little cheap-0 made Exhileration flats around town today and pride myself on their price tag - a mere $4.98. Awesome!

I must admit those stripper shoes are really pretty. However, I can't get past wondering how one walks in them? Like the Queen I have foot problems that have inhibited my cute shoe wearing - especially from places like Target or Payless. It's a real bummer. I'm sort of a wear the running shoes all day sort of girl lately. Darn plantar facitis.

What a great find. I do like the black shoes too. I just would never pay that much for a pair and with two little ones they seem impracticable.

I love the stripper shoes, but would most likely fall down...
Target prices can't be beat, and the style is worthy of a second glance, for sure!
Love me some Target!

I can't remember the last time I bought pretty and not practical shoes. Let alone in such a great color!

I do have one pair of race car red heals. Never worn.

Have fun stuttin' your stuff in those babies!

Those Target shoes have "Samantha" written all over them. By the way, you and Edward are turning out to be a great team! The pics have been looking awesome!

My Mom calls shoes like that "High Heel Hooker Shoes".

Love your new shoes but I love the price even more. Good bargain indeed!

I own them. I bought them, oh sometime in September.....so mine were not 4.95 but 14.95 ain't bad in my book. So kudos Sam, you got great taste! Enjoy those cute and sassy shoes. (p.s. I get a compliment from someone new every time I wear them.)

Those stripper shoes remind me of some high heel boots I have, no they are not stripper boots, they just have the highest heel I own and when I was pregnant with D while walking into church I tripped and fell on the sidewalk- all the papers in my church binder went flying everywhere and all the toys in my kids church bag. I can laugh about it now. Gotta stay away from heels when your eight months pregnant. Like your cute new shoes!

Oooh, shoes. Love them both, but I've gotta agree with you. Target has the BEST prices. :)
