When we were in college, my sis-in-law Audrey and I went to a homecoming parade that just happened to fall on Halloween. It was very early, and we were cold and wrapped up in blankets, just trying our best to show a little school spirit.
Floats went by with Miss so-and-so from a little Utah town. Marching bands from high schools played almost recognizable songs. The cheerleaders were there getting us all pepped up for the big game. (silly girls, put some clothes on - it's freezing out here!) Then came the clowns - gotta mention here that clowns have always fallen into the creepy category for me - but there they were in all their rainbow striped, red nosed, wig wearing glory.
As the clowns passed by, one reached into his bag for what I assumed was another handful of cheap parade candy to throw our direction. Instead he yelled out in his crazy clown way, "Happy Halloweenie" and threw a couple of raw hot dogs at us.
Even though the clown was a total freak, his gag worked - we laughed so hard our bodies warmed up and Audrey and I tell each other every year, "Happy Halloweenie!"
Enjoy a slide show of my meager Halloweenie decor this year. Tomorrow I'm going to give you some Halloween eye candy with a tour of my momma's decor as well as some juicy tidbits from my friend Marci's house.

very nice! Good job.
You decor is cute and bountiful! Especially compared to my lack of Halloween decor. Thank you for the pictures!
Spooktakular, as always!! I have to say, my blog is becoming a tribute to you. It looks more and more like yours everyday. I love your relaxing music so I added some to mine today. Hope you don't mind. Keep the great ideas coming for both of us!
Okay, I am a dork! The last comment was me. I was signed in on the school email account because I am the email coordinator. Sorry!!
Meager my behind! Your decor always looks 100% fabulous. Can't wait for tomorrow's post!
Boo-tiful as usual. I like the evil (or helpful) hand coming out of the box. Think Adams family. Hard to believe the big event is but a week away!
funny story, wonderful decor as usual!
Samantha, your Halloween decor is Spookalishious!
I like the framed stitched thing. Did you do it?
Wow, I stumbled here from Katrina's blog and am impressed to say wow.
