Hilary! She guessed that "someone has a wart from a frog and you put duck tape on it so it would die." Although it is a myth that warts come from frogs, or in the case of my clue, a toad, a wart has indeed recently joined our family - and believe it or not, duck tape is part of the doctor recommended course of treatment.
The RedDog's formerly soft hand is now completely untouchable due to a humongous and somewhat troublesome wart. We initially tried an over the counter remedy at the request of our pediatrician, but after four failed attempts at making even a dent in the wart, we took RedDog to a dermatologist. Her suggestion was successive courses of liquid nitrate freezing followed by at home application of salicylic acid and DUCK TAPE. Is it wrong that I giggled when she told me that? If you look closely at RedDog's hand, you can see the permanent adhesive goo line from our nightly ritual of acid and duck tape. This kid is a trooper. He just goes with it and is more than happy to be the one to rip the tape off each morning, hopefully removing the top layer of the stubborn wart. Isn't this all just so appropriate for Halloween time when we think of lumpy bumpy things and witches with warts on their noses?
Hilary has won herself a little Halloween Pixie (as shown below) which has been lovingly handcrafted by moi. I got the idea here and knew I had to use it because our Hannie B was the cutest witch a few years ago and the picture was perfect for it. I hope you enjoy your little Halloween goody Hil! I'll get it in the mail today or tomorrow.
Thanks to all of you for your creative guesses. They made my day!

I have an award for you at my blog. Go and check it out!!!
Love the picture!!!
I saw that tag on our cookies!!! It was so cute and the cookies were so good!!!! Hannie B. totally is the cutest witch. I think it must be a redhead thing to have warts, cause Hammerhead and I have both had quite a few! Tell RedDog I recommend pulling off the duct-tape and immediatly putting it under water! It helps! See ya Thursday!
The big winner will hopefully be Soren when he finally gets rid of his big old wart.
Give that "Red Dog" a big hug for me for his bravery.
Woot! I finally have a second to check blogs... You made my day! Lucky guess. :)
