Today they took my RedDog's hand and walked him through the halls of their school, which is finally his school too. Big C, Hannie B and RedDog will all be together in the same school for this one year only. I loved watching them take him to meet his Kindergarten teacher. Big C showed him where the drinking fountain and bathrooms were. RedDog has been in the school a million times before, but today it was like he was seeing it with new eyes and his tour guides were his big brother and big sister. It was a tender little moment for me.
I love the look on his face as he discovers yet another cool thing in his K-garten classroom.
Hannie B met her first ever "boy teacher", Mr. C. She's going to have a great year. And Big C refused to have his picture taken with his teacher because apparently that's not cool for a 5th grader. Oh well. We're ready to start now.

I CANNOT BELIEVE christopher is in 5th grade already!!! WOW. you know, I used to say "how weird... (so-and-so) has THREE KIDS already" or whatever... and now I realize... at this point, I AM the weird one! How sad!!
thanks for visiting my blog! I put you on my newly-fashioned blogroll, hope that's okay! It's also a good way for me to see who has updated/put a new post.
btw how do you get the counter on your blog?
They are growing up so fast! What a great bonding experience for them to be at the same school this year. Love the pictures!
Are you sad or excited that all your kids are now in school? How sweet that for one year they will all go to the same school. I'm glad that this year you managed to make it to the back to school night. Is that right?
That's really cool. Scuffy was very sad that when we went to the open house night, he was odd man out. I kept telling him "next year"... poor kid.
I'll bet Soren is high as a kite about the whole thing with his big bro and sis watching over him.
That's funny about the "man" teacher - Sparky asked me just the other day why all teacher were girls. I told him to hang on a year or two and that would change.
The man teacher looks kind of cute. Is he?
Yes J.G., the man teacher IS cute - which made Hannie B even more nervous. I told her to just imagine him as one of those great Disney princes . . . he's got a thick neck like that! We'll see how it goes.
Tomorrow, another school year starts with all three heading out the door. They are growing so quickly and there is no stopping it.
Happy back to school day tomorrow C, H and RD
