It's pouring rain outside, so my plans to unveil my new ride have been spoiled because I will never, ever take a picture inside my filthy garage to post on this blog! So instead I've chosen to show you his professional head shots - oh yeah, did I mention he's a supermodel?
Here he is -- my new broom cloaked in the stunning Nimbus gray. That's his real color. I'm not making this stuff up! We've chosen to name him Harry, for obvious reasons, but also because when you sit inside him, magic happens. New and improved features flatter the mom who's driving while XM radio fills the air bewitching small children as they enjoy their fully opening and closing side windows. An additional 8th seat means we are now carpool wizards and Harry has more secret storage compartments than Hogwarts has moving staircases. The moon roof is perfect for owl watching and I've even got a "conversation mirror" that shows me all the passengers in the back of the car . . . it's my own personal Sneakoscope! I could go on and on, but I'm two sentences shy of working for Honda's sales department.
I'll just end by saying that I know a minivan isn't every one's idea of a cool car. To those with that opinion, I issue this challenge: get three kids, two of their friends, another adult and all the stuff that comes along with a weekend trip and come take a ride in Harry. I feel pretty confident that without the flick of a wand, he will cast a spell on you too.

Awesome. Mine's blue, but I like the gray. And I've already turned 2 people to the van-side from "I'm not a minivan person" just by having them ride with me a couple times. (This includes our mutual friend, and my SIL.)
You sound besotted. I'm pretty darn sure I won't be giving mine up for years and years.
Love it! Clever blog and name (for van)! Couldn't live without mine.
I have never been a lover of the minivan however, that sounds perfect! Congrats on your magical Harry!
Oh yeah baby! That car is not only magical, but way cool too. I mean have you seen the mini-van chase scene in Mr and Mrs. Smith?!
But the magical nature of your new vehicle is the best part. Way better than the Weasley's enchanted Ford Anglia!
Sweet new ride! I actually harbor a secret love on mini-vans. Those sliding doors are just about the niftiest invention in the history of automotive advancement.
Yea you!! Congratulations. I totally dig the minivan. I'm thinking about getting one just to lug myself around. Ha Ha just kidding. But I think they are very practical and comfortable and I'm excited for you!
NICE RIDE!
Love it. Anyone who resists having a Minivan is only kidding themselves. Kind of like resisting getting a mac or an iPhone or like the borg saying "resistance is futile" (voice like a robot).
I love my Odyssey, but think I'd love a Harry even more! Maybe time for an upgrade? The problem is, it's 6 yrs old and still runs like a new car.
Congrats on the new addition to the family. Harry will fit right in!
If I had a minivan it would be a Honda! We purchased one the first year they came out.... had to wait 3 months to get it. It was gold and lovely. I decided two years later later that I was more of an SUV mom. That's what I've driven ever since. I know you'll enjoy Henry for years to come.
