We got the phone call on Saturday night that her Reflections photography entry had recieved FIRST PLACE in the Virginia State competition and will now move on to the National Competition! She jumped up and down screaming with glee and then stopped, looked at us and said, "What does that mean?"
It means that you are full of talented bones and creativity (thanks grammy) and people recognize that you are an artsy little lady! Way to go - we're so proud of you.
Side note: Her painting also took Third Place at the state level, but will not continue on in the competition. You can see Hannah's two Reflections entries here.

YIPPPPPEEEE HANNAH! This shouldn't be St. Patty's Day anymore, this should be Hannah Day!!
I hope you make her all her favorite green food tonight (or whatever color she wants, it is Hannah Day). A little bragging-on and spoilage never hurt anyone.

Hannah is hannah spelled backwards. That is, I believe, a palindrome.
People with palidromic names are very special... For example the first words spoken by a human to another human on Earth were, "Madam, I'm Adam."
Hannah is also very special. She has to be in order to keep up with those non-palidromic brothers of hers, rehpotsirhc and neros.
However, their names are far more likely to be selected as "word verification" names here on Blogger
