Smooches and Goodbye!

ollieskiss

I could kiss on that face all day long.

Oh wait, I do kiss on that face all day long.  Sometimes his cheeks start to smell like my breath and I think, “Hmmm… I need a mint.” But never do I ever think, “I’ve got to stop kissing on my boy.”

Today he FINALLY went back to school. Our kids had a bum wrap this year for Christmas break and had to go back the Thursday after New Years. We all moaned about how unfair it was to send them back for a measly two days. We felt short changed and vowed reclaim our missing days.

But then a miracle happened.  It snowed Thursday night and school was cancelled for Friday.

Then we had freezing rain on Sunday, turning Virginia into one giant ice skating rink, and school was cancelled on Monday. We worked on our puzzle, watched movies and played games all day.

Then we had record low temperatures (like –10) and school was cancelled on Tuesday. We worked on our puzzle, watched movies and got on each other’s nerves a lot. The magic had run its course.

Now the kids are back at school and I am ready to get into a routine again. When they are home I love it, but I am not productive. It’s time to be productive. The laundry is calling my name. The toilets need my attention. I’ve got medical bills to sort and a pair of Tom’s shoes to find that never came for Christmas. And I have to finish the puzzle.

I’m not gonna lie. I’d rather be smooching on that little face.

It's been a great 17 days and 1 not so great 18th day. Yes to school. Bring it.

Smooches to Owlie.

May your puzzler skills triumph!

I'm glad to know that I am not the only one who smooches on their babies face....it's just that my baby is 6 and I'm so nervous he will soon reject my kisses.

Good luck with your productivity!
