Captured …

kite

This moment from our beach trip – small boy, face filled with wonder, nestled in the crook of his father, flying a kite for the first time.

This is why we do it.  Why we drag half our house, coolers filled with food, sunscreen enough for an army and all our little people to the beach each year.  Why we ignore the sand in every crack and crevice, the boat loads of laundry that result, the peeling noses and backs, the inevitable arguing in the car.  All because of this.

It’s the memories.  They draw us back year after year.  And when we capture them on camera, they warm our hearts in the coldest of months and make us feel like everyone could stay little for ever and will never leave us.

Memories of family time from my childhood are my fave! Keep them coming for your kids (and you too!).

The Hubby has a boyish look of wonder on his face too. Perfect lighting!
