Teacher Appreciation 2011 . . .

IMG_9616

Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week at our school {and I think nationwide?}.  I’m busy this week coming up with some original ideas with my kids to make their teachers feel special.  Would you like to join us?

Our school has assigned themes for each day of the week.  We’re starting off with “Bring A Piece of Fruit” day.  We’ve overdone the classic apple to the teacher, so this year we thought it would be fun to mix it up a bit and take grapes to the teachers.

I’ve created a printable that you can download here if you’d like to send some fresh grapes to your kids’ teachers.

Tomorrow I’ll tackle “Replenish School Supplies” day with another printable for our hardworking teachers.

Have a beautiful day!

Like you, I appreciate teachers and the work they do. What I do not appreciate is teacher's unions, who coerce teachers to join, require localities and states to collect union dues from paychecks and pay them directly to the union, and support parties and policies without input or permission from their teacher members.

It's so nice to have teacher appreciation week In Spain that doesn't exist. Only at the end of the course in June, usually each teacher is gifted with something from all her/his students. This is what I did during the year at elementary school, but I don't know if this also happens now. Maybe not. In that case, is so sad, the society is loosing lots of important values.

Sam, thanks SO much for the printable! My boys took their grapes today for "bring a healthy treat to show you care" day and my girls thought they were so cute that they took them to all their middle school teachers too. You're so creative and generous to share your talents. Thanks again!
