The Groundhog saw his shadow. And then there was snow. And a snow day, because Virginians are lightweights and can't handle five inches. Which means four children at home. And a mom with plans that simply cannot happen due to logistics and boredome control and lunch making and constant bickering. So today, in order to simplify, we will scrap all previous plans and concentrate on snow men, snow angels, hot cocoa, driveway shoveling, boot tying, sled pushing and rosy cheek warming.

Serious snow dancing from school kids yesterday worked really well. It's a spectacular view outside my door and I'm enjoying it. You've made a good choice to just go with the flow today so have fun.

We are even lighter weights down here. Three snow days for 7 inches of snow which arrived on Saturday and have almost disappeared. Seems a little excessive.
