Photo via Google Images Yesterday I wrote about my brother Chris and his talent.
Eight years ago he stood beneath these crumbling towers during his morning commute in New York City. For hours we wondered from across the country whether or not he was okay.
It turned out that he was, but 2,976 other individuals were not as lucky. Today I am taking some time to remember. Won't you do the same?

I remember. Hubby stayed home from work as his tall building was off limits. We stared at the news all day long in total shock and disbelief.
I remember. Leaving my then 3 year old with his Spanish-speaking only sitter as I headed to my office. She was hysterical and all she could do was gesture at the TV. I knew enough Spanish to know something terrible had happened in NYC. I got on the Internet from work and just sat and watched and cried in disbelief as I watched the 2nd tower collapse. I'm so grateful for the men and women who still fight for our freedom and those who once did like my dad and your dad.
I was on my way in to work after having seen on tv the two towers get hit. Coming around the Beltway I say a thick heavy Black smoke rising in the area toward the pentagon. The hospital was in disaster mode so we in the operating room sat and watch in total disbelief. The oddest thing that evening was the sound of no air planes except for the fighter jets. I will never forget.
I will never forget that day. I will never forget those lost. I will never forget how this country came together. Many have short memories but I will never forget.
