Here We Go Again. . .

I feel like I just wrote this post . . . but that was a year ago!

My RedDog has left me and will be gone the entire day. I will miss him dearly. But boy, he sure looked handsome this morning on his way out the door. Watch out First Grade ladies!

Many of you wondered which outfit Hannie B. would pick for the first day. She took the advice of her Aunt Melissa and chose to be sassy, including a gigantic flower to top it all off. I know she'll have a great year in Fourth Grade!

And then there's this dude. Don't even think I can talk about it. He's obviously too cool for this picture thing. I mean, after all, he is a Middle Schooler. Oh, man, I said it. Now I have to go wet my pillow with the tears of a mother who has had the realization of fleeting childhood.

But before I do that, I think I'll put out one last trick to try to get Mr. Cool to smile.

Yep. Works every time.

ADORABLE!!! Even Big C :) I'm still debating whether or not I like full day kindergarten - it seems so looooong for a lil guy! But remembering all the moms trying to make it home for the kindergarten bus is helping :) More time to soak up every moment with Owlie and take on more fabulous projects! Can't wait to see what you come up with!

That's a good one! You are smarter than a sixth grader! HA! HA! HA! I feel your pain...Middle School can seem scary...and it's bitter-sweet watching childhood slip away. But in a couple of weeks Big C will be an old pro and you'll welcome the new phase of life you're entering. Enjoy this year...as I know you always do! Baby Owlie is changing quickly...what a doll!

In my book, all four are way cool. Big C has the attitude, Hannie B the fashion flair and Red Dog the earnestness I so love. Owlie gets to run errands solo with his Mama. Big day all around.

I can't believe today was your kids first day. We started 2 weeks ago. Great pictures of the school kids! So handsome/beautiful!
Quick question- Do you get that many solicitors that you actually need to post a sign on the front door? Does that include missionaries? HA HA
