Yes, I know it was a month ago, but my Mother's Day present is just finished and I thought I'd share it with you now that it's ready to use. The Hubby has worked fervently planting and building, to create a backyard oasis for me on our deck - one where I could sit with a newborn baby and watch my other children playing happily {or arguing constantly, which is more my reality}. Take a look . . .
The wisteria vines in the planters will eventually grow up over a small pergola that covers the bench area giving it complete shade.
This great teak table set {ordered from Sam's Club online} pulls apart to reveal two hidden leaves. The bench then pulls up to one side of the table and with all the chairs shifted, it provides seating for seven! It was an investment, but we'll have it for years to come. So now I'm ready to have you all over for a backyard BBQ - how does Saturday at 6:00 sound?

We all need an oasis! I can envision you there with an umbrella-topped smoothie in hand, happy baby in a bouncy seat and older kids bouncing the day away.

I'm jealous yet again!! I want wisteria to grow and provide compelete shade to my backyard oasis. It's only 105 degrees out there. I think wisteria melts in that kind of heat. I'd do about anything to join you at 6pm sat night. Enjoy your oasis!! I love it!!
