Tribute To The Tile Guy . . .
Here he is - the hardest working Hubby - doing another crazy house project for little ol' me! He spent the past week applying white subway tiles to the back splash in our kitchen with painstaking exactness and under harsh scrutiny. I am not kidding when I say that this man seriously loves me, and shows it in so many ways!
Since Halloween the Hubby has been without a job. There are probably hundreds of things he would love to do with some much needed free time: play basketball, watch football, clean out his garage, wash a car or two, play more basketball, catch up on some personal reading, work in the yard, and I could go on and on. Instead, he has spent the past month doing things to our house that I've wanted done for about four and a half years, like painting ceilings and tiling back splashes. I've had an annoying little "Honey Do" list for him just about every day and he wakes up happy and asks, "What can I do for you today?"
We have also been able to go to lunch together, spend time with the Red Dog, chat while doing projects, alternate volunteering at the school, work out at the gym together, do Christmas shopping together, enjoy visiting with his parents without work interfering, and just generally laugh a lot. It has been a real joy to me to realize that after almost 13 years of marriage, I never get sick of spending a lot of time with him. He's truly easy going, likeable and enjoyable!
Sadly, his new job started on Friday. I wanted to cry while I was alone that day. I missed him! I was excited to see him when he came home. He is my best friend! Thanks Hubby! You're the best!

Travis you're my favorite son-in-law.
Looks FAB!
Glad Travis got a job. He was starting to give the rest of us husbands a bad rap for not endlessly doing projects around the house.
Em to Boan "look at all the stuff Travis does for Samantha", "Travis painted ceilings of their house", "travis put on backsplash". "travis got mulch" "travis this, travis that".
Now that he has to go to work the rest of us can rest easier.
Thanks Travis.
