The Ball Is Rolling . . .

Well, I've finally learned how to get my readers to comment on the blog! Just mention a move to China and everyone has something to say. Way to go readers, you really came through - my little trick worked! Just kidding - about the trick part - the whole China thing, well, that's really real.

The update for now is that The Hubby let the company pursuing him know we are interested in the possibility of China. Now several things have to happen. They will look at him more closely to see if he is a match for the job (uh right - the dude is fluent in Mandarin, an amazing businessman, and a harder worker than most I know, not too mention just super friendly and likeable). If they find he is a good fit, he and I will most likely take a quick "Look/See" trip to Shanghai to check it out first hand and see if we could live there. (Cool, I know, free trip to China!) After that, I believe most things will happen rather quickly. But I can't know for sure until it happens. So we wait and I resume house projects and pretend my life is normal and try to not dream about panda bears and wontons.

So that's all I have to offer at this point. Keep reading the blog for more info. And thanks to all who showed support/concern/care/amazement. You rock!

Wow---exciting and scary at the same time! I am glad we have your mom with us this week so we can get the play-by-play updates

I think you should do it and we can live vicariously through you. It would probably be hard and build lots of character and stuff...but still be hard.

In your honor I tried making a new oriental chicken dish for dinner last night. Ryan and McKay [aka. human trash compactor] loved it, Easton suffered through it, and I ate it wishing it was my favorite balsamic ckn on my salad instead.

China would be ridiculus not to snatch Mr T up, but this clan is pretty partial to keeping ya'll right here! We're always hankering for an adventure too so perhaps you'll get to beat us to it!

I'm trying to picture your tall strawberry blondies there and that brings a smile to my face because no one could look less native!

For a tremendous cultural rundown and for the best informational place to get the low down on china I recommend watching "Survivor China". It airs on CBS on Thursdays.

There you will find a plethora of cultural tidbits and things to do and not to do while you are there (in china).

The show is a reality Television Show, which means everything you see there is actually real and can help aclimate you and your family while at the same time provide some quality entertainment.
