Be Of Good Cheer . . .
The blog may become more of internal reflections on deep thoughts every once and a while. Bear with me!
A few weeks ago I took a picture of these beautiful gladeolas that came from my mom. I felt like looking at them today. I love that the word glad is in their name. They do make me glad. They remind me of a ruffled party dress. They are dainty and feminine and clean and white. When I look at them, I feel happy - and those scriptural words "be of good cheer" enter my mind.
Today I was looking for those words in the scriptures and found a scripture that I loved and applies to the situation my friend is going through right now. It says:
"Wherefore, be of good cheer, and do not fear, for I the Lord am with you, and will stand by you . . ."
How many people have gone through similar trials, or even harder ones and have born testimony that they felt the Lord beside them the entire time? And that He was able to remove their fear and replace it with peace? That is one of the most beautiful gifts of the Savior's atonement. He truly can take our pain and suffering and bear it with us. That, in addition to the beautiful flowers he helped create, makes me glad today.

Hey! That's my favorite scripture, D&C 68:6! I found it during a rough time in my life. It makes me feel happy and grateful each time I think of it. Just like your gladeolas.
Beautiful flowers, beautiful thoughts!
I love your blogs...you're so eloquent!
