Man, there has never been a truer statement.
Right now we’re in the rain and it’s pouring. We’re all joking that our family is falling apart.
It started with Owlie. He had a nagging cough which turned into a sinus infection, which meant antibiotics, which caused a rash to cover his entire body (if you look closely, you can see the rash in this picture). Poor little fella itching and hacking with three visits to the doctor in a week. He’s been a champ.
As soon as he started to show a tiny sign of improvement, RedDog started coughing and complaining of not feeling so great. The next morning, my whole head felt about as heavy as a bowling ball and now I am an achy river of snot and sneezing.
After the Hubby made a snide comment about me being a wimp when I’m sick, he tweaked his back playing volleyball. He’s a trooper. But he’s an older trooper and he’s now walking like a grandpa. Then tonight I drove Hannie B to volleyball where she proceeded to tweak her back. She’s sitting in the homework room with a bag of ice on her back while she studies.
Sheesh! What is going on?
The only Lee person not limping, scratching or aching is Big C. He has baseball tryouts this week and I am threatening him within an inch of his life to protect those teeth of his like they’re made of diamonds (because who are we kidding, with the amount of money we’ve paid to fix them, I could have bought many diamonds!)
I’m pretty sure this is all happening because I made a commitment to start that chair project this week. Cruel are the project gods.
Does this ever happen to you?

I feel that when it seems to be raining challenges that oft times blessing are rained down too. Looks to me like the Lee clan needs to slow down and recuperate for a while. This to shall pass and the chair is going no where so take heart.
OH YEAH! Early in 2014 I remarked that I had the feeling that 2014 was going to be a wonderful lucky year for us. Right off the bat I got sick, and a bunch of other really tough challenges came along that really took the wind out of my sails. The year is young and I'm having faith that it will all still turn out great! But sometimes I wish I wouldn't have said that out loud!
The entire month of February as been filled with the flu. All but two people were infected and mine happened to last 3 weeks because I could never get enough rest. It's the worst. Praying that you will all recover quickly and if I lived close I would come running.
I hope this is the last downward dip before warm weather and all the good that comes with it heads your way.
Feel better! The parson's chair can wait.
