Lately it seems like each day brings another wonderful sign that Autumn is officially here. We’ve been enjoying cooler temperatures with blue skies and trees that are just beginning to turn with tell tale orange and red leaves.
My Owlie and I are taking full advantage of Fall and all its glory each day by going on walks, bike rides and last week, a trip to the farm for a hay ride and pumpkin picking.
The little fellow knew exactly which pumpkin he wanted to take home – it was round, bright orange and had a long stem. He picked it straight off the vine. I loved that his pumpkin had perfect spiral curly q’s coming off the stem. It has found a perfect spot on our front porch and Ollie visits it each morning to say hello.
He’s at such a fun age for all things Fall and Halloween. Each day he asks me, “Is today Halloween Day?” We’ve got his costume all picked out. I won’t let him use it yet though. It’s pretty much killing him.
Good thing I have pumpkin carving, candy corn, leaf pile jumping, s’mores roasting, apple cider drinking, warm blanket snuggling, caramel apple making, pumpkin seed roasting, paper bat and tissue ghost crafting, apple crisp eating, and spooky story telling to keep him busy for the next thirty days.
I am smitten with Fall.

Fall is my favorite too. But I'll pass on the candy corn.
Love the pumpkin tendril!
Your life is a dream and a Martha Stewart reality. Sigh.
Sounds perfect! I hope your autumn dreams become a reality!
How cute of Ollie going to say hello to his pumpkin each morning! :) Looking forward to see his costume!
