In a few hours these two will say goodbye to each other. I am dreading it.
I like to call them the adventure boys.
They are the epitome of boyhood. Collecting rocks. Playing with sticks. Climbing trees. Inventing games. Building Legos. Laughing hard. Whispering in the back seat of the car.
They’ve been the best of friends since day one seven years ago.
They were only THREE. They looked like this:
They’ve had some pretty amazing adventures.
They are the same in so many ways. (skin tone not being one of them.)
There are going to be tears today. Ten year old boy tears. The kind that break mommas’ hearts. The kind that are real and flow freely. It’s going to suck big chickens. (favorite saying of my big brother and me.)
But I know these boys will have more adventures together in the future. They’re already looking for them.
We love you Christopher!

Me, yep teary eyed.
Jonah told me yesterday that Soren was his best friend, so Red Dog will not be totally friendless.
Sniff, sniff, sniff.
Change is hard.
Maybe they'll be roomie together at BYU or go to the same ESY camp?!
You made me tear up. I am so sad for you and your kiddies. DARN!
Makes me sad for them, but maybe they will meet up someday at BYU or the MTC who knows!
Definitely going to suck big chickens! Will be a momma bear moment watching them say goodbye. Really should be "see you later".
Ug, it's like those Army moves, only worse because you've all had much longer than 2 or 4 years to grow together. Hugs to all of you!
Oooooh... I'm sad that the adventure boys won't be together on a daily basis... :(
But yes, more adventures for them!!! :) And also for you and Ronalyn! It's a win-win for everyone.
How cute RedDog at age 3!
