A Christmas Wish …

Lee_Christmas

{The “Miracle Family Photo” taken by my brother in under three minutes on Thanksgiving Day.}

I’m spending the next two weeks with my family, away from the distraction of the computer.  I look forward to it immensely.

We’re going to have a friend in town {hello, Jennie Doezie!}. We’re going to see the lights at the temple and bake cookies and play games and do puzzles.  We’re going to open presents and give to others and snuggle up with cocoa in front of our fireplace with the tree all lit up.  We’re going to sing carols and bask in the good cheer and happy feelings of the season. We’re going to celebrate that my dad is still alive after being diagnosed with cancer four years ago.  We’re going to see cousins and laugh a lot and have movie nights. We’re going to eat ham and soup and chocolate!

But most importantly, we’re going to read about and then reenact the birth of the Savior, Jesus Christ.  Then we’re going to thank God for that glorious occasion that brought a tiny baby to the Earth to save us all.

May you and your family have a very Merry Christmas.  I’m excited to reconnect with you in the New Year.

PS.  There may be some construction on the blog while I’m away.  Be patient with me as I’m not a super technical gal.

Totally not fair you got such an awesome shot in 3 minutes flat! It's beautiful. We worked a lot longer than that and, as you'll see when you get our card, it's just ok of some of the kids but we settled on our favorite of the adults.

Happiest Christmas ever - we, too, are expecting a good friend to arrive at any moment and our plans are similar to yours - she has made this time for us and it couldn't be a sweeter gift. Yes, ginger cookies are on the afternoon's baking agenda - later, a drive about some pretty places and, tomorrow, a Celtic Christmas performance tomorrow and trip into Old Towne Alexandria . . . thanks for reminding me - I'm off the the cabinet with the Christmas puzzles.
Love,
Linda

That is one of the best family photos I've ever seen!!! You sure make such a beautiful family!

I like Christmas because I get to spend it with my family and this is something to cherish!

We’re ALSO going to celebrate that my MOM is still alive after being diagnosed with cancer TWO AND A HALF years ago.
{Capitals for the changes I made on your own sentence. Now I just realized that it will actually be two and a half years ago on Christmas Day.}
