Awesome, It Will Be . . .

We’ve had an unusual visitor at our house recently.  He’s small, green, wields a light saber and talks kinda backwards.  You may recognize him:IMG_6088

The boy known as RedDog around these parts is turning seven this week and requested “an awesome Lego Party” like his cousin Jonah had a few years ago. I remember that party because he talked about it for weeks - there was Lego shaped candy for crying out loud.

When I saw this little Lego Yoda ‘minifig’* online, I knew we had to use him for the invitations. The inside is simple time/date information, but it’s what’s on front that is supposed to get the kids excited.  A command from a jedi master is not to be taken lightly.

We have a few really fun things in store for the party which I’ll cover next week after I have photos.  It shouldn’t take too much to keep six boys happy for a few hours.

I do have a devious plan to send each boy home with his very own bag of Legos from our stash. Shh! don’t tell my kids or I’ll be in trouble. The Hubby and I simply cannot have another Lego enter this house without some leaving first, and since I know RedDog will most likely receive some Legos as gifts, it only makes sense, right?

Wish us luck, because seriously, this week {and month} is rivaling December in the overscheduled and busy department and I’ve pretty much had a headache since Monday morning just thinking about all the things that need to get done by Sunday.  The calendar currently stands at 17 events between Monday and Saturday night.  Madness!

I’m relying on little sleep, much luck and a whole, whole lotta that thing the little green guy calls the Force.

*Did you know the little Lego people are called ‘Minifigs’? Yeah, I’m a geek like that.

I know all about mini figs and let's just say someone in our house knows what a good price per pound is for Legos on Ebay because he has purchased so much there. Yes, its my hubby. The mini figs excite him. He would love the Yoda mini fig. I'm sure the party will be great fun. Good luck surviving your week!

If we lived closer, a certain pair of boy cousins would be knocking down the doors to crash this party for sure! I can't wait to hear about the devious giving legos away part and to get a peak at all the fun!

May the force be with you, Master Dragonfly!

Oh, my Apis did a Queen Vee or shaker moment as I call them.

The Force is with you, I know you will get through this week with flying colors and exhaustion at the end. You amaze me.

17 events? Are you a glutton for punishment or what? I sincerely wish you good luck surviving this week.

Also, YODA ROCKS!

p.s. In an attempt emulate YOU I made cards for Fathers day. Er, well *made* is stretching it since I had a little help from Shutterfly =)

We love legos at our house. Sounds like a fun time. Did you know they now have Star Wars shaped cookie and pancake cutters at Williams and Sonoma. Just may be of interest if your lego them is with the force. Good luck this week.
